Elektrovat Cacak SERBIA was one of the contestant at HPP Gruzza Tender Procedure. While still wasn't clear who will support BMB at tender (Bank Guarantee was needed), Branimir has trained several candidates for the last, third Tender attempt. One of these candidates was ELECTROVAT Cacak, a ~100-employee electrical engineering company.

Second contract between ELEKTROVAT and BMB was a consultancy provided by BMB to ELEKTROVAT related to the optimal choice of hydro turbine, as needed for the HPP Gruzza Tender / Project.

During the first two (unsuccessful) bids (Tender HPP Gruzza) most of the contestants needed more funds for turbine only than BMB needed for the entire project. But, I had developed my own turbine (cross-flow type, latter patented runner) and I had more freedom to shift the allocated project funds where is the most needed.

That was the reason behind my initiative to prepare several teams to actually design, construct and manufacture the turbine itself, too: that has been the only option, if project was to be completed commercially meaningful.  

Unfortunately, ELEKTROVAT was a very wrong alternative: not only they did not pursue the instructions, but they tried to steal the proprietorship of thye Electrical Design of the HPP Gruzza (it is still on their reference list!).

Nevertheless, I have assisted them understand the basics of small hydro power turbines, and the overall concept of that equipment range. I have constructed and manufactured turbines for HPP Gruzza accordingly to my own design with several other partners (MIP TIMO Cuprija SERBIA being oner of them, at the time), and ELECTROVAT had entered small HPP business - not the most desirable way, but ...
