APPOINTMENT: R&D Engineer, Cement Factory Novi Popovac, Serbia.

The "Novi Popovac" Company was the largest cement industry at the Balkan Peninsula. Over 2,000 employees (200 highly educated), it deals with production of cement and related products, but also with the R&D in the areas of interest, the general investment, transport and several other business activities. The Company is organized in five main Departments - Production, Transport & Maintenance, Sales, Research & Development and Common Business. I have started my work as a R&D Engineer at the R&D Department. The intention was to become acquainted with the plant to be able to make a proposal for action, with regard to the factory modernization issues.

APPOINTMENT: Adviser to the General Director, Cement Factory Novi Popovac.

The Factory Automation Proposal has been accepted, and the General Director of the Company has appointed me to be his Adviser. I was given the budget of about A$1mil per year and all the authorities necessary for organization of an intensive project activity. The company structure was : General Director; to him reported Vice General Director, Technical Director, Adviser to the General Director, Financial Director, and R&D Managers. The Production Managers are reporting to the Technical Director.

FOUNDATION: Department of System Engineering and Consulting.

Permanently, it consists of a Head of Department (minimum Master of Science), five Specialists - process, electrical, mechanical, computer and chemical engineers - (minimum Dipl. Ing. s) and a various number of project associates.

APPOINTMENT: Head of Department.

Was appointed as a Head of Department in rank of the Adviser to the General Director, Vice General Director and Technical Director.
